Spryker · Audit · Migration · Rescue · No License Margin

Spryker deep. But without partner margin.

Six engagements of Spryker depth. B2B features built in, not bolted on.

Spryker consulting for B2B industry. Audit of existing setups, migration from Hybris or custom build, project rescue for stalled engagements. Tenants, contractually agreed prices, approval paths — Spryker brings them built-in. We earn no license margin from Spryker — if it is not the right path, we say so.

Three occasions

Audit. Migration. Rescue.

We come into play at three clearly defined points in the Spryker lifecycle. Each occasion with its own output, separately budgetable, stop conditions at the end of each phase. No bundle selling, no delivery obligation.

  1. Occasion 01 · before or directly after the platform decision

    Audit.

Vendor-neutral diagnosis. Architecture assessment against your B2B reality, performance profile, custom module inventory, license and ACP sanity check. Core focus: what Spryker actually delivers for you — and what it doesn't. Written findings with a prioritized lever list, no slide decks.

    Output
Findings report · OpEx lever list · Architecture sketch
    Bias
    No implementation margin in play
  2. Occasion 02 · Hybris before 31 July 2026

    Migration.

SAP Commerce On-Premise mainstream maintenance ends 31 July 2026. We assess Spryker as a migration path honestly against the alternatives (SFCC, commercetools, SAP Commerce Cloud), design a slice roadmap instead of big bang. Senior sparring in the steering committee plus architectural depth in the code.

    Output
Path recommendation · Slice roadmap · Steering sparring
    Anchor
Detailed assessment on the Hybris Migration page
  3. Occasion 03 · when the project is stalled

    Rescue.

Stalled Spryker project. Implementer conflict, steering committee escalation, catalog still not live after months, performance bottleneck under load. We go in, stabilize quickly, hand over cleanly. Spryker-specific rescue, not generic turnaround theater.

    Output
    Stabilization · Re-plan · Clean handover

Three pain patterns
we see constantly in Spryker mandates.

Spryker is powerful — and that is exactly what produces recurring stress points in growing B2B industry and supplier setups. Three patterns that come up regularly in our mandates, with the honest ranges from real assessments. No industry study, no vendor whitepaper.

20+ modules Major version upgrade burden

Mid-size Spryker setups with twenty or more custom modules require significant engineering capacity for major version jumps, driven by module version cascades, Symfony and Twig major bumps, and custom plugin drift. Senior guidance doesn't shorten this by magic — it prevents the fourth attempt.

> 1M SKUs Performance thresholds in storage / search

Above roughly one million SKUs or fifty thousand active B2B customers with individual price lists, the Spryker storage and search stack (Redis, Elasticsearch, Yves) shows reproducible bottlenecks. We read the storage layer first, before touching custom code. Sequence is everything. Typical segment: large mid-market to enterprise subsidiary.

DACH 3+ Multi-tenant setups (DE / AT / CH)

DACH industry setups with subsidiaries in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland require clean Spryker store configuration (multi-currency, tax logic, locale routing). Incorrectly initialized in standard implementations, and later the trigger for expensive data migrations. Architecture review before re-implementation is the cheaper path here.

Spryker engagements since 2019. Four project turnarounds in the Spryker space, reseller margin: zero. Depth from mandates, not from license contracts.

Voices from Spryker mandates

What clients took away.

Two senior voices from multi-year Spryker mandates — one on platform depth, one on stakeholder navigation. Both are clients with senior engineering backgrounds and a correspondingly sharp eye.

TOWA · Spryker practice · 2021–2025
Swiss Army knife among developers. Trusted at every level of an organization, from dev team to C-level. Calm, reliable, solution-focused." — Karsten Krause-Ablaß, TOWA

Four years of senior sparring during the build-out and scaling of the Spryker practice, from platform architecture through team scaling into the steering committee. Exactly the bridging capability that decides Spryker mandates between engineering reality and board language.

Multi-stakeholder Spryker program
Technical depth combined with strategic perspective. Navigation through complex system landscapes and different teams." — Martin Kousek

Complex Spryker program with multiple implementation houses, internal teams, and ERP integration. Architecture depth and stakeholder navigation in one mandate, without team politics, without vendor loyalties.

Before you call

Five questions, five honest answers.

„What sets you apart from established Spryker implementers?"
Implementers have their own delivery interests — their margin comes from implementation, not from an honest assessment. We have no implementation contract with Spryker, no reseller margin, no pyramid. Senior directly at the table, same person from pitch to handover.
„How is a Spryker audit structured?"
Compact format with clearly separated phases for findings and written analysis with concrete lever lists. The scope is deliberately tight: anyone who can't deliver a clear picture doesn't have the tool under control.
„Spryker or commercetools for B2B industry?"
Both technically capable. Spryker has deeper B2B defaults (tenants, Approval-Workflows, customer-specific pricing logic), commercetools has a cleaner Headless model and more favorable license economics for pure API usage. The honest answer depends on the ERP stack, organizational maturity, and migration path. That is exactly what an audit addresses.
„Is there an official Spryker rescue program?"
No. Spryker does not maintain an official rescue list. That is exactly the gap we fill. Stalled projects are typically addressed through implementer changes, which rarely leads to a solution — because the change doesn't address the underlying architecture or steering breakdown.
„How deep is your Spryker depth really?"
Spryker engagements since 2019. Multi-year senior sparring mandates in DACH industry setups, four project turnarounds in the Spryker space, Team Charlie with Spryker depth across the majority of senior profiles. Depth from real mandates, across the full Spryker lifetime.

What we have learned

Spryker depth does not mean reseller margin. It means mandate depth.

Anyone who profits from platform delivery cannot audit honestly. We chose against the implementation margin so that your Spryker assessment is based on your B2B reality — not our pipeline. That costs us more. It costs you less.
