Privacy Policy

Your data.
Your trust.

We take privacy seriously — not because it looks good on a website, but because B2B industrial engagements do not work without clean data handling. Here is what we collect and who is accountable for it.

01 · Controller

Who is responsible for data processing

Controller within the meaning of the GDPR and other data protection laws:

FatUnicorn Consulting UG (haftungsbeschränkt) Represented by Michaela Zepernick (Managing Director) Büttskamp 19, 22457 Hamburg Phone: +49 172 662 85 60 Email: moin@fatunicorn.de
02 · Overview

Privacy at a glance

The following notes give an overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally.

We handle your personal data in confidence and in accordance with applicable data protection law and this privacy policy.

03 · Hosting

Hosting provider

This website is hosted by AD IT Systems in Germany. As part of hosting operations, the provider collects technical metadata (server logs, IP address, access time) that is necessary for the secure and performant delivery of the website.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically error-free provision of our website).

04 · Server logs

Server log files

The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits automatically: browser type, operating system, referrer URL, hostname, timestamp, IP address. These data are not merged with other data sources.

05 · Cookies and web analytics

Google Analytics — only with your consent

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; parent company: Google LLC, USA). GA4 sets cookies and collects data about how the site is used — only after your explicit consent via the cookie banner on your first visit.

What is collected: anonymised IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, time on page, click paths, referrer URL. No personally identifiable data, no linking with other Google services or advertising networks.

Cookies set by GA (only after consent): _ga (user differentiation, retention 2 years) and _ga_H1RCD423PG (session state, retention 2 years).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) in conjunction with § 25(1) TTDSG. Consent is voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future — via the Cookie settings link in the footer (re-opens the banner; declining takes effect on the next page load).

Third-country transfer (USA): Google may transfer personal data to the USA. Legal basis: Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46 GDPR and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission of 10 July 2023, upheld by the ruling of the General Court of the EU of 3 September 2025 in case T-553/23). Despite the adequacy decision, the transfer to the USA carries residual risk (US CLOUD Act, pending complaints).

No tracking without consent: the GA script is loaded only after you actively click "Accept". Declining does not remove any functionality from the site.

05a · Your consent

Current status and withdrawal

Your decision is stored only on your device (browser localStorage). You can review or change it at any time — no re-login, no email to us, no wait.

Status …

Withdrawal takes effect immediately: existing GA cookies (_ga, _ga_H1RCD423PG) are deleted, the GA script is no longer loaded. For data already transferred to Google, you may request deletion directly from Google under Art. 17 GDPR.

06 · Contact

Phone, email, and direct enquiries

When you contact us by phone or email, your details are stored to process the enquiry and for any follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding directly to contact requests).

07 · Your rights

Access, correction, deletion

You have the right to access your stored data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. We respond to requests promptly — no legal letter required, a phone call is enough.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: the competent authority is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Hamburgischer Beauftragter für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).

As of: 12 May 2026.

This privacy policy is updated when our data processing changes or legal requirements are amended. The version published on this page is authoritative. Anyone needing an earlier version may request it informally by email at moin@fatunicorn.de.
